Jeff Skiles at the controls of his bright red 1935 WACO just before leaving Freeman Field to return to his full-time job with US Airways. Skiles, a pilot since the age of 16, was the first officer on flight 1549 when he and Capt. Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger along with the rest of the crew sucessfully landed the large jet in the Hudson River back in January 2009 without the loss of a single life! That landing is now usually referred to as the "Miracle on teh Hudson".
